Applebee's Grill + Bar

Usually Applebee's is an easy decision for a place to take customers to lunch.. the service at this location was amazing as expected! The booth, the table and the menus all smelled extremely musty like a rag that sat for a few days was used to wipe it down before we were seated though. Hopefully this was just an accident and we were unlucky this day.

The food was the usual Applebee's, it was good. However, I felt bad for our waitress. It seemed that she was always apologizing for something whether it was our table or others around us. Now bare in mind, this is the 4th of July around lunch time. So it was steady not terribly busy. I felt that our waitress may have been overwhelmed and had to remind her about items that we asked for. We ended up leaving her a 20% tip anyways due to like I said, we thought she was just overwhelmed. All in all we had a good experience.

I order here all the time, usually have no problems. Today however when I got my meal my.potatoes and broccoli were respectively burnt and underdone. I called to let them know and both the people I spoke to (an associate and the manager) were kind and so accommodating! They gave me a voucher for my next meal(super appreciated and unexpected) and handled the problem quickly and with an awesome attitude. Food is (almost :p) always great, and service is always top notch every time.

I was pleasantly surprised at the burgers. Honestly, I have always taken Applebees as the "fast food" of sit downs. It has been at least 2 years since I've last eaten here. I visited with my father and son and was elated at the quality and freshness of the burger. Put it this way: I didn't speak until my burger was done and I am known for my "conversation", if you will. It would have been 5 stars if the service was better. Waitress was absent, hostess was fantastic and friendly.

Food was good, service was even better. Hostess and other employees were very friendly. Had a very nice young guy named Jay as our server. He was very friendly and attentive even with a packed section. Come to find out he had to skip his dinner after coming from his other job and still was extremely pleasant! I hope his managers realize how much of an asset he is to the restaurant.
