Can't say enough about this hidden gem.
Staff was efficient and friendly. Went above and beyond to make our meal experience delightful. BTW food is delish. I said it was my hubby's birthday, and the waitress brought a dish of fruit with whipped cram and Sprinkles !!! The outside of the building is plain, but the inside was Yummy!
In my opinion the best place to grab breakfast in metro Detroit. Fantastic staff. Decently priced. My only complaint is its a breakfast and lunch diner they close at 3 everyday and the food is so good, come 1am you get the shakes from jonesing for just 1 biscuit with a side of gravy
Food is amazing and service is great! Tons of options and they never disappoint. Cinnamon roll french toast is wonderful!
It's always been my favorite little spot since this nice couple have owned it. It's very sad to see it's lost it's luster. We were very rushed. Waitress asked if we needed boxes just shortly after our food was served. Prices are higher, food is better, but wait staff has been obviously trained to "get them in and get them out". I will not dine there again. Carry out. Maybe.
Everything awesome ????
editing my review from a year ago:
Gina’s is a rare gem in that it has been consistently great from my first visit to my most recent. Have tried a wide selection of the menu and never come across a single thing that wasn’t not only terrific for taste but prepared and presented with flair and style. The service is always friendly and very attentive. It is a very small cafe that is always busy but the wait for a table is never long due to the efficient staff and always worth it. For those that go often you will get to know many of the regulars and become one of the extended family as well as learn to recognize 1st timers who are dazzled by the extensive menu and need a few recommendations. While best know for their fantastic breakfast, their soups, salads and sandwiches are all excellent as well. We often get salads to go for lunch after eating our breakfast there and their wraps are our standard take along for beach and boat days. Whatever your taste, try your favorite but don’t be afraid to experiment as their is nothing on the menu that will disappoint. Feeling a little adventurous? Order off the wall as their specialty items are out of this world and really must be experienced.
A rare gem indeed. After the first few trips you wonder why they don’t expand, after the first 50 trips you hope they never do. The small size keeps it friendly and fresh and allows the extreme commitment to quality that keeps the cafe full at all times. Easily the best restaurant you didn’t know was there and the best food anywhere near Macomb county.
