Momma B's Pizzeria

Really good food done well, especially vegan!! The vegan ingredients were top notch and the preparations done extremely well. Pizzas, knot, appetizers are all good in regular and vegan preparations. Perfectly cooked dough. Homemade sauce. Just excellent all the way around.

Ordered a large Southwest Veggie and a large 3-item deep dish with pepperoni, bacon, olives, an order of Loaded Knots and an antipasto salad. The Southwest Veggie was over seasoned (salt), but not consistently. It seemed like seasoning was dumped in certain areas of the pizza, so that 1/2 the bites were like eating pure salt. All four of us agreed, three of the four usually preferring salty foods.

The deep dish was near perfect, very similarly prepared as other deep dishes around town. Excellent amount of toppings spread throughout and just a touch greasy. The Loaded Knots were also very good, again, a good amount of toppings to load them up and just a touchy greasy.

The antipasto salad had a good mix of lettuce to non-lettuce items, about 50-50. A complaint of many places is you simply get a thin layer of meat, cheese and veggies on top of mostly lettuce. Thankfully not here. I originally thought that they forgot the salad dressing. Not a big deal, but was disappointed. Then realized that they didn't forget the dressing, it was packed inside the salad container, underneath the entire salad, as if they put it in the box first then piled the salad on top.

Overall the food was good, but a couple of disappointing aspects brings the rating down to 3 stars. I'm sure these are easily correctable mistakes and might not actually happen on a future visit, but were definitely problematic for our first visit.

The BIG MOMMA pizza is enormous. It was very good. Quality crust and tasty. The chicken tenders are also fantastic! Delicious dipping sauces as well. Looking forward to trying more of the menu. I really hope this location sticks around.
