Barleycorn's Public House

Really great food. We started off with the artichoke spinach dip which was amazing. The pita bread was very flavourful. I had the southerner burger with sweet potato fries. I like the different tastes of the burger. The sweet potato fries were average. For dessert we had the Kit Kat desert. This is a unique desert and must try. The atmosphere of this place is hip bar witg many TVs for viewing sports but it wasn't so loud that you couldn't have conversations. The staff was amazing and very attentive. Would defildinitely recommend.

Food was great! I had the steak tip and portobello gnocchi in a sauce with such great flavor. Mom and dad loved their sandwich/burger. Grandma ate all of her brick chicken and she usually has a very small appetite. Service was great and we really enjoyed Ryan as our server. He made sure all our special requests were taken care of. Definitely will be our new spot for family outing dinners :)

As for pleasant, friendly servers, Melanie stands head and shoulders above the rest (figuratively if not literally). Though I had already placed a bar order, Melanie said hello, engaged me in conversation (I was alone), and took a real interest in what I had to say. I only hope I tipped her appropriately. Anyone who advocates automating the seeing process has never been served by Melanie!

Menu is very small but what they do make is some of the best versions of those meals I've ever had. Honestly probably the best chicken sandwich I've had in my life. Wait staff was great and the manager even checked up on us. Very old school, good service. Great to see in these trying times.

Went here for my birthday and it was amazing. We ordered the calamari for an app - our go-to - and it ranked in the top 5 for sure. Very generous portion. I picked the Southerner and it was hands down the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. The sweet potato fries went really well with it. My husband got the fish and chips and upgraded to truffle fries. Both amazing as well! We will be coming back for sure and definitely want to check out the happy hour. We love their location and decor too!
