Soul of Detroit

The atmosphere what's wonderful the food was tasty but it was cold. Our waitress was new and that was the issue. She had that waited before and she had a table of 12 women. We were not told there was going to be a cover charge for the band when they came in we were there before the band. I was disappointed there wasn't a vegan option on the menu. I hope this restaurant can survive the pandemic I would love to see what he has done since my last visit. The owner of the restaurant is really trying to make a difference. He listened to our complaints and took action.

Catfish was amazing, the garlic mash, mac n cheese & fried okra was good as well. I had the 7 mile martini it was strong that's always a plus. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Only downside is the restroom could have been serviced more frequently.

This place “Soul of Detroit” restaurant in the Sterling Heights is awesome. Came in for lunch and was seated right away. Their food was delicious! I will be back and will be telling all my friends and family!!! Awesome staff as well. Thank you!!!

I usually don’t write food reviews, but this Valentine's Day I had the most amazing meal at The Soul of Detroit. I had the jumbo shrimp with mac n cheese and candied yams! The shrimp was flavorful and FRESH! The yams were the perfect amount of sweet and the mac n cheese was moist! To accompany my dinner, I had the best vanilla milkshake! The atmosphere of the restaurant was vibrant and lively! The live band brought the restaurant to life!
