Iron Town Pasties

Great pasties! Ate with a colleague and we had one traditional and one spicy beef. Very good!

Seriously the spicy vegan pasty was unreal. We called one hour ahead and they warmed them up for us (since they are frozen). They are pretty filling too! Highly recommend.

Stopped here specifically for the vegan pasties, which were hearty and so good! If you want to eat these pies on site, Irontown needs one hour to cook them for your arrival! Worth it to call ahead. Vegan crust filled with tofu, potatoes, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, nutritional yeast, onion, and garlic. They were out of the spicy vegan pasties by 1 pm. Friendly staff at this UP charming roadside restaurant!

This was our first try at pasties in the Upper Pennisula. Located on a fairly busy corner. Parking can be a bit tricky as it's adjacent to a road that runs behind it.

Quite a few options for pasties here. We had 2 beef ones. My first experience with rutabaga, bit like a potato. Drier than anticipated, but the ketchup helped. (That's a standard consistency from what I've read)

Ice cream too, a decent variety if that's your thing. Staff were friendly.

I'm going back tomorrow to pick up 6 or 8 frozen pasties to take back home in lower Michigan. These pasties are the best of the best! What my wife and I love about these pasties is the amount of meat and veggies inside these things. Many other pasty makers make the dough / crust so thick. These pasties are chocked full of the good stuff! I found my favorite place for pasties. They even offer gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options!!! Make sure you stop here if you want to experience the BEST pasties!
