“Just tried East Side Mario's today for the first time. We live literally around the corner and I am so glad we finally got there. The food was excellent. The restaurant itself is really very nicely decorated. A fun atmosphere. The service was really, really good. I had Eggplant Parmesan and have never had it prepared like at Mario's and have to say it is my new favorite. Just a little twist on the standard recipe goes a long way to perk the dish up. It was delicious. I was very impressed with their tomato sauce - I am really picky about that. It was not in the least "bitey". Kudos! Will be returning in the very near future. ”

“This place is befitting of the old time hole in the wall bars. Bar food that is good and beers that are reasonable priced. The daily happy hour specials are good and the must dishes are their chicken wings,nachos and pizza. The wings (bone in) are small in size but some of the most flavorful wings I have had in the area. Also they are part of Sir Pizza and serve in the restaurant. Pizza is awesome and deep dish is the way to go while at the restaurant.”

“I go here about twice a month and usually get the Geno. The giardiniera (Marconi peppers) here is top notch. As a Chicago native this pizza really strikes home as it tastes like an incredibly delicious take on Italian beef pizza. I can say without a doubt this place uses great ingredients. The cheese blend is by far my favorite compared to the other places around here. The square pizza always has a perfectly crispy golden crust. The pizza prices are higher than other places but it is well worth it. This place is does pizza right.”

“I miss going here all the time. I had two consecutive bad experiences last summer. It was with the "General Manager" It seemed like he didn't care about the restaurant, the employees or the customers. He didn't do anything about the broken a/c all summer, in the sweltering heat! Employees had sweat dripping off of their faces! I felt so bad for them! Kind of grossed out too... But the food was always awesome! The service was always great! But when you bring a problem up to the man in charge, he gives you an attitude and pretty much told you he didn't care. I hope he no longer works there, that way I can return and start giving them my money again! Best Service I had ever received, was from Brittany The Server!!!!”

I love Pulled pork and they always have fresh smoked pork, perfectly cooked Fried Okra, which you can't get in the north at most BBQ places, and their Jalapeno Beans are good, with a nice heat. Also love the onion straws and regular beans.”
