The Root Restaurant & Bar

Our first visit to The Root. This was our first ever dinner out where we were lacking nothing! Excellent and unique plates and excellent service. They even gave me a birthday dessert. We will be back!

Very slow service.. it seemed the burgers were beings processed much quicker than other things. The fish special was just ok in quality.. almost $30.. Atmosphere was very nice. Limited menu. Parking good. The baloney sandwich was one thick slice, several grilled or fried thin slices were expected. Cocktails expensive.

Have been to their brunch many times in the past 6 months. Each time the food is cooked extremely well, the quality is superb and the staff are friendly and on top of everything. Highly recommend the quiche (different flavors each time) as I have never been dissapointed. But then again I have only had positive food experiences with anything I have ordered.

Friendly service, diverse menu with large portions.

The Black Walnut Old Fashioned was like sitting by the wood stove on a cold Winter's night and having a few fingers of Whisky.

The Walking Dead made me feel quite alive with its tasty blend of pineapple and orange slices.

Overall 5 out of 5, would reccomend.

This place is the best restaurant in the area. Local well cooked food. Great flavors' nice pairings. We've been here 10 times. 4 stars rather then 5 because of limited options. Maybe 1 or 2 more options would be great for gluten free folks.
