My wife and I are saddened to learn that BJ's restaurant has permanently closed! We loved stopping for the buffet on our way further up north. She especially loved the frog legs and will greatly miss the food and staff, especially Jason! During one visit they did not have frog legs and my wife was sad. Jason went above and beyond excellent service and had a batch made specifically for her. We will miss BJ's as it was the only place we ate at in Gaylord. Best wishes on the next venture! l
It was okay. It was simple good food. We got the buffet and it was alright. The chicken looked overcooked, so I ate other things. I would have liked to have had a dinner roll with my salad, but they didn't have any out. I did find out that if I had asked they would have brought me some. I'll try to remember next time. All in all it was a good place to eat.
This was the best place we've been to in ages! The food was delicious, the manager Jason treated us like royalty, and the service by Lorie was excellent! The manager's suggestions were delicious! We had the perch and brisket and both were great, he let us sample a Reuben, and the seafood chowder and split pea soup was delicious! There were six different soups and they all looked delicious! The salad bar had a ton of fresh vegetables and side dishes. The strawberry buckle and ice cream was great too! We will drive two hours to go back! Great job, we were impressed!! Thank you for a worthwhile dining experience!!
Really good food and very friendly staff. My family and I stopped on our way home from Mackinaw Mill Creek Campground and it was definitely worth going a little off the beaten path. There was plenty of room for us to park with our three campers. This will definitely be our regular stop every year from now on.
The breakfast is really good. We ordered off the menu instead of getting the buffett since it was our first visit.
Service was quick and friendly, and the taste was great.
Reasonable prices.
Definitely off the main drag but worth the extra distance!
