Curlys Bar and Restaurant

The most recent time I was here there was a local power outage and Curlys was the place to come to to eat and relax as they still had power. The wait for food was long, but they got drinks out fast and maintained a friendly attitude despite a super crowded restaurant and many crabby and unreasonable customers. The food was still very good.and came out when promised (longer than normal because of the power outage crowding, but reasonable). I like coming here, the owners, food and staff are all great.

If I could do half stars I would have given 3.5, BUT, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and round up to 4. When we went the place was reasonably packed, but not fully by any means.

We ordered food and it took a lot longer than it should have to arrive, but that was only after finding out that they were out of certain items on the menu that my friend wanted to order. The waitstaff should just tell people when they are seated that they are out of 'X, Y, Z'.

The waitress was okay but took way too long on the refills for drinks so a few people ended up taking glasses up to the bar for refills.

I had a Swiss & mushroom topped burger which I assumed would include lettuce and tomato - in most places that is standard. Not here. It is also extra to add them. The burger had a great taste and was done the way I ordered it.

The fries were warm but nothing to write home about.

The atmosphere of the place is fun and looks like a collection of local and sports history memorabilia, posterd and photos.
