Top notch dining experience! Our server, Noel, was super kind. When we made our reservations, we noted it was our anniversary, but we weren't expecting Noel to wish us a happy anniversary OR the free desert (we got the molten chocolate cake which was to die for). We were super touched by this gesture and it really made the experience special that they were helping us celebrate! They have a great deal on Tuesdays for discounts on Michigan wines and beers - we got the Chardonnay and it was VERY good. The food itself was incredible - on Tuesdays they have $4 fish tacos and we each got one as our starter. Do NOT skip on these fish tacos - they are the best I've ever had!! My husband got the swordfish and I got the cioppino . Both were delicious, and I was particularly pleased with the cioppino's wonderful flavour and perfectly-cooked fish. This was our first time at Black Pearl but we'll definitely be back again - we want more of those tacos! Great place for celebrating a big occasion but also just generally for a nice fine dining experience.

The Black Pearl is one of our favorite restaurants in Ann Arbor. The service is always excellent. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and eager to please. The menu is varied, the food is high quality and delicious, and the presentation is creative and imaginative. Our compliments to Executive Chef James and his team.

We came here on a recommendation and if I could give this place 10 stars I would. The food is amazing and just walking by the place it smells wonderful. The service was out of sight as well. I would like to pay it forward and recommend this place to the world.

The fish tacos are the best I've ever had. Black Pearl has a great menu, but I come here for the fish tacos! Great atmosphere, good drinks! And a really cool fan above. One thing to note, it can get a bit noisy inside. During the warmer months they have great outdoor seating on Main Street.

We were celebrating a couple birthdays, made reservations, and arrived a little late. I had called to let them know we would be late, and they were very understanding. From start to finish, our service was impeccable. All of our drinks were phenomenal. All of the dishes we ordered we're over the top delicious! I highly doubt you could order a bad thing.
1. Raw oysters are to die for.
2. Oysters Rockefeller flat bread is a new item and awesome
3. Shrimp guacamole is a must order.
4. Calamari is the rings and tentacles

If you have never been to Black Pearl, you need to make it a priority.
