Always love this place. The atmosphere was great. We went in for the hibachi grill lunch special. I ordered the hibachi lunch special with chicken. It come with fried rice or plain rice and veggies. You must try the yum yum sauce and the garlic butter you will me pleased. It wasvery reasonable they start at nine dollars. The chefs that prepare your food at the tables are entertaining with their tricks and witty banter. The food as always delicious. The open seating is a great idea too. It gives you the chance to meet new people. I love d it and will be doing back soon.
Great food! Thought prices were high for 1pm.. no lunch prices/menu on weekends apparently. Chef was great!
We celebrated our Auntie's 96 th birthday here. The service was excellent thanks to Sammy, the food was good, sorry I didn't get the chef's name. Our Japanese Auntie wanted special sushi and the Sushi Chef made it for her, again, sorry I didn't get his name.
The entire staff went out of their way to make this a special event for us all.
Great place with very fast service. Went for my mother in law's birthday and they had our table ready immediately. They usually don't have long waiting time for table or any at all. The chef was friendly but didnt do as many tricks as the competitors would at Hibachi Japanese steakhouses. I ordered chicken and shrimp that was a lot cheaper than I anticipated. The sushi was great and I like how they have a good selection to choose from. They make a birthday dessert that comes with a neat sparkler that is pretty cool. Their salad is far better with the sauce they use than all other Hibachi Japanese steakhouses. The only complaint was the floor was a little sticky in some areas. Overall great experience.
I have been living by Ichiban for almost a year and just decided to check it out. I am so disappointed in MYSELF for not visiting this place sooner. It is a beautiful restaurant with great food. I didn't experience the hibachi part of the restaurant but I did have sushi (which was great). I felt the price was very reasonable when you combine the taste of the food with the ambiance of the restaurant. You need to visit this little treasure if you live in or visit the area.
