Great little place for a quick bite. Busiest around lunch with the school across the street. No frills on the seating area indoors but that shouldn't stop you.
What I will say was that the food was very good, with ample portions. I had the kalbi (K4). Included in the meal were white rice and a salad. I also had the gyoza. Food came out HOT. Like the pan for the kalbi was sizzling.
Food is cooked when you order, so expect it to take 10-15 minutes. It seems to be staffed by one guy and his wife.
It's a small place, and I would recommend visiting there on a cooler day. There's some outdoor seating, but that's limited (two tables that seat 4). I don't think there's air conditioning for the indoor seating, so keep that in mind.
Fresh and crispy! I have only ever had the bibimbop here. I love it when it comes in a stone bowl (dolsot). The crispy rice at the bottom is sublime and the food stays piping hot right to the finish. The raw spinach surprised me at first, but having mixed it in, it wilted and was lovely. The surroundings are very basic and the service is...very basic, but the food shows real cooking skills.
Love the food and energy here. Reminds me of the hole-in-the-wall places I used to frequent in NY. Called once for delivery and the guy yelled at me then hung up. It was hilarious. I then went in person and enjoyed food. If you have a good sense of humor and enjoy authentic and incredible food, look no further!
