Big Boy

I went to lunch with my husband at Big Boy in Ypsilanti today. The food and service were really good, but the best part was Kenny. I lost a gold cross in the restaurant, and later called to see if someone could fine it. Well, Kenny found my cross (a gift from my late parents) by getting under the table and taking the time to look. Thank God for honest, wonderful people like Kenny, who I found out is the manager.

The weekend deluxe breakfast bar is fantastic! You can get all your favorites. I snapped these photos just after it was set up this past weekend. The food is so tasty, and I like I can control my carbs. If I want just 1 biscuit or pancake, that's ok. The staff are hard working and friendly. I do think the morning crew are better than night. Classic diner food and breakfast are what's available at other times.

I also want to advise everyone that there's false info going around that this place is racist. There was an old post from about 2016 that got RETRACTED that keeps popping up. There are many people of color working here including as management! The restaurant was even sold to an immigrant and management changed since then. So don't just believe a random undated post.

I eat here with my kids and we love it! The servers are fast and friendly. The restaurant is clean. The food is great! I love how they are always adding new things to the menu. The bacon mac n cheese is really good! The food bar is always clean and fresh.

Lunch was perfect today. I was greeted by two or three people as soon as I walked in the door. One of the staff guided me to a table that met the criteria that I needed. We ordered from the menu And the food came very promptly and was perfect. My favorite is the extensive soup and salad bar. There are about four soups each day and a continuously replenished salad bar. The prices are reasonable. And I think it is very nice place to go for either dinner or lunch. I have never been there for breakfast oh, but they also had an extensive breakfast menu.
