The people working here always treat me great so I go here once a week. The chicken is good, the biscuits are to die for and the red beans with rice makes me feel right at home. What more could I ask for, maybe the sweet tea!
Not happy they were out of the Surf and turf items and the $3.99 chicken tender meal was discontinued. Yet they were both on the menu!! The Surf and Turf had a hand made sign saying "Not Available". But, it wasn't obvious to most people and had to ask what wasn't available because they didn't announce it as customers were arriving. It was also very cold in there as if it were 95 degrees outside. It was only about 68-70 degrees! Not hot enough for air conditioning that cold. I figured it may have been for the workers who do have very hot condition in the back so I didn't complain. I just took my food to go and went to visit a relative whose home was temperate and comfortable.
It's a good clean place. But the parking lot is dirty. The chicken was great, but the pieces seem small. But still delicious. The drive through is always back up, and wait is about 20min. And double check your order, because they forget something.
Popeyes is always good, but always an adventure in actually getting your food. The staff is friendly and the chicken is amazing, but be prepared to wait. For me that's just part of the Popeyes experience, but if you're in a hurry this isn't what you'd call "fast food." I don't think I've ever been able to get in and out in less than 15 minutes as chicken or fries are never ready. That being said their fries are amazing, their boneless strips are some of the best I've had, and their sauce variety is pretty great. If you're looking for great chicken and have some time to stand around and wait for it check out Popeyes.
