On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina

I always have good meals and dining experiences at On The Border. I usually go for lunch and get one of the lunch specials. While I prefer locally owned authentic Mexican restaurants, you know, run by Mexicans and not a big corporation (On The Border is part of the Brinker International conglomerate that owns numerous restaurant chains), this corporate chain is not bad for quality and price. I will no doubt continue to patronize this restaurant.

Loved it. Great frozen drinks. Good food that is a good portion. Not overly full. Friendly staff. Clean restaurant and restrooms.

Service was very good, waiter was focused and paid attention to the details. Food was tasty and portions were generous. Atmosphere was open and family oriented. Definitely worth a return trip.

I ordered the chicken bowl, which was very delicious. Everything in the bowl went great together. From the brown rice and the black beans, mixed with the chicken and guacamole. It was also very filling. I ordered the sampler for the appetizer. Everything was very good but I don't believe it was worth $12.99 with how small everything was, but what are you gonna do? My wife got the taco dinner. She enjoyed the whole plate. Especially the rice and beans. Their beans have a beautiful smokiness to them. I would recommend going to on the border if you want to try Mexican food with a twist!

This location seems to never disappoint. With having two sisters in the service industry and having done countless years in retail; our server, Haley, was a breath of fresh air. She knew the menu inside and out, was able to recommend her favorite dishes and what was hot or not sellers. Haley was able to hold a conversation without rushing away to get our drinks all the while staying professional and attentive to her other tables. Food was fast and hot and exactly how we ordered it with our drinks being cold and refreshing.
