Awesome food, great service! And the Jolly Rancher cocktail was amazing. Expect to drop some significant $.
So the majority of my reviews are 4 or 5 stars, mainly because I only review the places I feel people really should go to. Marrow is no exception. From the second you enter until you leave you are treated with absolute care and professionalism. On suggestion we did the tasting, so were able to sample chef suggested dishes that were perfectly time to allow us to casually finish every dish (split between 2) with enough time to discuss the different intricacies involved in it before the next dish was brought out. Our server did a superb job suggesting wines to compliment each dish within our individual flavor palettes. Looking forward to when we can return and taste some of the missed menu items.
The hype is real. Therefore, it’s not hype...it’s validation. The dishes are unique and flavorful. The craft cocktails are excellent and they have a surprisingly deep beer list too. Their approach to service is 10/10 as well. Super friendly and they just keep the dishes rolling. All in all just a delightful experience.
This is one of the Detroit area's finest restaurants. The food, ambiance and service are all off the charts. Plus, its uniqueness is exceptional. You enter Marrow through its full service butcher shop which also contains a full service bar.
Did I say it was unique?
You can also take whole animal butchery classes downstairs. I'm not aware of another place like Marrow anywhere else in the country.
But - first off - go for the food. You're going to love it.
I've been here twice to eat and shared a few plates with friends. Quality of food is very good. Service and atmosphere are professional but casual. The meat counter offerings beckon to be taken home for a special treat.
