Pretty good, and the location is nice- near a park and across from the Tigers ballpark. I would say that it's mostly a place to go for the novelty as the spaghetti is pretty much what you could make at home. With that being said, it's pretty good as the noodles really have absorbed the sauce. The meatballs aren't my type- a little too peppery and small. The portion size is great; definitely an amount two people could share.
Literally learned about this place as we were driving into Detroit! For being an attraction the spaghetti is actually really good. The sauce is not too sweet and tastes like you’re at a nice sit down. The portions are LARGE so if you’re not that hungry may want to share. Love the fun idea of ordering in the alley then eating inside.
Let me start by saying I'm a pretty big fan, but it won't stop me from posting an honest review.
The restaurant is walk up, outdoor window style, with extremely limited indoor seating. The menu was limited to spaghetti, spaghetti and meatballs, rabbit spaghetti (vegan), and a spaghetti sandwich, most of which is served in a very large Chinese takeout box. Canned pop or water is sold separately. My husband and I both ordered spaghetti with meatballs. The spaghetti sauce was a basic, puree style, not chunky home style. It was not sweet but it was not tart. The meatballs were freshly made and the garlic bread was Texas toast style tossed on a flat grill with Italian herbs and Parmesan. Personally this kind of spaghetti is not my style but I could see myself craving it in the future. I'm excited to see if they add anything to the menu.
