The service was good, and the food was delicious. I can't remember the name of the dish I ordered, but it was beef sirloin braised in a delicious tomato sauce with a side of rice and peas. I plan on returning to this establishment very soon. It is located very close to the free parking at Greektown Casino, so there's always somewhere to park. It is about one city blocks worth of walking from the parking structure to the restaurant, but Monroe Street is an experience within itself on the weekends. I highly recommend this restaurant.
This place hasn't changed since I was a kid. I've never had a bad experience, the staff is always nice, and the food is always great. The flaming cheese is must! 5 stars as always!
Great setting! Authentic and delicious dishes. Fun appetizers are the Saganaki (flaming cheese) and warm grapes leaves stuffed with meat. If there is a simmered leg of land special: order! Fall off the bone, tender meat. Green beans and potatoes as sides. Terrific. For those new to Greek food or simply hungry, there are sample platters that are great. Traditional Greek table with works well. End with Baklava and a Greek coffee and you are set!
Loved this place. I had the Plato's Platter. My wife had Stuffed Grape leaves. My son had the Lamb Shank. All of us felt our food was awesome. The portions were huge and the atmosphere very pleasant. The service was also very good. Truly a five star experience!
