I am a little puzzled as what rating I should give this place. First, when I see the name Shake Shack, I am expecting some spectacularly good shakes. I wasn't impressed with the shakes at all. I have had better shakes at less quality restaurants. Definitely not worth the $5 in my opinion. The fries are good, but for what you are paying for the burger (and your shake/whatever other drink you get), I don't think you should have to pay as much for the fries. The burger was pretty tasty. Kind of small, but tasty. Service was decent. For as many people as there were, the line did move pretty fast. I would be willing to go back again. Probably wouldn't waste my money on a shake. I would try other places out first, but if friends were going, I wouldn't be bothered to go back here.
Food was fantastic as always. Best tasting burgers. Service behind the counter, not so much. Please pay attention to the customer. Having social side conversations while taking an order is not appropriate.
Restaurant was very clean and neat. Employees were cool and laid back but obviously on top of things. Food was incredible!!! For the price I paid, the burger definitely exceeded my expectations! Would come back in a heartbeat.
I love coming here. It is fresh and fast. (And has the benefit of not having the outrageous lines found around locations in New York/Chicago. It is consistently delicious no matter when you go. Just be aware, the bill can add up fast. What's also great about this particular location is that it uses local reclaimed wood. It's proud to be in Detroit and I know many are proud to have a Shake Shack here.
I got the chick n' shack. Oh my gosh, best chicken sandwich I've ever had. Food is a tad pricey for a burger and it's all a la carte. The shake was pretty dang good too. Mine was thick and not too sweet, which I appreciate. One sandwich and fries or a shake should fill you up.
