Steak 'n Shake

That is good food. But I know staff very busy and stress. But I understand can’t blame to staff.

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for the last several years and I don't think we've ever had any major issues with them. The food has always been good, the shakes are amazing, and the servers we've had, well, they weren't the best servers to ever serve, but most of the time they're polite and get our orders right.

We just celebrated my daughter's birthday there last weekend. We had a pretty good-sized group and called ahead to let them know we were coming and when. Unfortunately, there was some confusion between the staff about the time. One had the right time, but another one thought we'd said a half hour after that so it took about 10 minutes to get the tables ready.

Our server made a few errors, but with such a large group, I expected as much and she was quick to return with the correct items. All in all, we had a nice time and it turned out, there was an even bigger party that showed up shortly after we did and which required twice as many tables as we had so they had their work cut out for them that day.

It would be nice if they gave you more onion rings though. They were good, but I only got like, 5 of them.

They have some pretty good deals and amazing shakes at good prices. Please be aware, the shakes are cheaper because they use some creams or fillers but, I don't think they are unhealthy. If you ask, you can get a more traditional shake at no extra cost. Although if everyone asks , they will probably start to charge more. They offer happy hour and deals on shakes.
