El Norte Mexican Bar & Grill

Overall, it was ok. Presentation was good, service was fine, prices decent, food ok.

I got the combo plate, burrito was good, Taco was alright, enchilada was fine, rice had little flavor, and the refried beans were really more of a soup. All the food was warm, not hot.

Chips with the salsa were really good,.

My wife enjoyed her enchiladas she said, but I just thought mine was ok.

It might be worth coming back and trying something else and revising my review.

Good food but not the best service. Restaurant was not very busy but I could not get my water filled and server did not check up to see how our food was however food runners and other staff were great about refilling our chips/salsa. Once we finally ordered food prep was quick and it tasted really great. We shared the mixed chimichanga which was steak, chicken, onions, peppers topped with queso! Their drink special was mojitos but it was $13 a drink less the $2 off special, in my opinion over priced for a drink, so water it was for me. Ambiance was typical Mexican restaurant feeling.

My experience here was really great! I was seated upon arrival and staff was very kind. The staff even went out of there way to seat me in a quiet corner since I told them I was hoping to study that day. The food was amazing (I highly recommend the guacamole and al pastor tacos) as well as the desert! They even wrote the first letter of my name on the plate! If you’re looking for a new Mexican restaurant to try with a cozy atmosphere and delicious food, you’ll definitely have a good time at El Norte!

A new mexican choice in the area. The place is very spacious. The menú is very similar to most of the mexican restaurants in MN and the prices too. The service was excellent, the amount of food serving was good. Great selection of cocktails and drinks.
