MC's Garage - Mankato

We visited on a Tuesday around 5:30 pm and there were plenty of seats available. There was bingo going on, but it wasn't too loud. Our server was amazing and checked on us several times during our visit to make sure we had everything we needed. We ordered two of the poutines -- the Mexican and the USA versions. The food was VERY salty. The meat was gristly and dry on both dishes. We weren't able to eat more than half of our food. The USA version had so much cheese on top that it was difficult to separate into bites. We loved the idea of poutine, but were disappointed in the overall result. It really is a fun atmosphere and upbeat vibe. We might try another dish sometime in the future.

My husband and I like to try new restaurants, this restaurant meet our expectations.
The first picture you see is the Garlic Toast Curds($14.50), they were my favorite!
The second picture you see there is South of the Border Mac($15.50). As a vegetarian I am always looking for veterans options around Mankato. Make sure you ask not to add meat. They do definitely have veteran options. You can have any of their burgers and substitute them with an impossible patties. However, they didn't have any burgers at this time, they were out of impossible patties.
The third picture is the 3-alarm burger($14.50), my husband stated it was really good.
I can collaborate that the fries were really good.
The last picture you see there is the Spinach & Artichoke Dip($13.50). I really wish the pita bread was less salty since the dip was already well balanced.
Server was really nice to us.
While we were there the place was really nice and clean.
Overall I really recommend this place.

Typical American style restaurant. Server was not unfriendly, but not very attentive. She brought our food but didn't really come back to check to see if we needed anything else. Good was good. Burger was made with fresh mushrooms. Coleslaw was made with dill. Fries were unique (see photo) and delicious. Mac n Cheese portion was huge and very cheesy. Restroom was very clean.

Not a place I would rush back to. In for a late lunch on a Friday. Took a while for anyone to acknowledge us.
Started with spinach artichoke dip, I order it at any restaurant that has it. This wasn't edible. It was basically a bowl of creamy spinach. Found a few pieces of artichoke. I really suggest you come up with a different recipe! Chips and Queso was ok but don't like the all the excessive seasoning covering some of the chips. Burger was average.
