Bluefin Bay on Lake Superior

We spent a night there after deciding to extend our trip to the North Shore and our original hotel not being able to accommodate the extra night. The view of the lake was spectacular, rooms clean, and service good For the price there is definitely room for improvement. The door to our room barely opened or closed like it was jammed. They have big jacuzzi tubs but we couldn't even fill it half way without the water turning ice cold. There were spots in the room where wallpaper was lifting and the temperature of the room was impossible to regulate to a comfortable temperature. Overall for the price, I'd probably check out another option on the lake before I went back. Dinner at their restaurant was phenomenal!

My wife and I stayed here for our Wedding Anniversary and loved it. Room was right on the water. Looking out the window you had an amazing view of lake Superior. Room was clean and very well stocked. Easy to cast to the TV. Staff is very friendly and the food was amazing. Loved the sauna and Massage!

Booked the one bedroom superior condo for an anniversary. The rooms were clean and very comfortable! The wood fireplace was an excellent touch. Was very excited for the whirlpool it was a bummer the water wouldn’t stay hot to fill whirlpool. The water would turn cold once it got almost half way full. Other than that no complaints. It was a very peaceful enjoyable stay.

Great staff, tons of nice offers and places to eat within walking distance or a short drive, winery shuttle service was great. My only gripe is after visiting 3 times in the last decade it is obvious they are not interested in maintaining that luxury feel in the rooms. While the room was clean, there were broken shades and numerous other annoying things that could easily have been fixed with a quick room maintenance check up. Did not make it worth it for the price of what should be a flawless room for $450/night. We'll probably pick another resort next trip with a cheaper more maintained room.
