“We loved our stay. Upon arrival, we asked if we could upgrade our unit and they had no problem accommodating. Our room was clean, we had a kitchen and a deck. The outdoor and indoor pool were both awesome. This property is very well taken care of. They had a court yard with outdoor yard games and live music at night. Their restaurant on site is also top notch. I’d recommend staying here to anyone!!”

“Loved it here. One star taken off for the extremely small bar area, but that's pretty minor. Bartender was/is great. Food was good and the drinks came when we wanted them, despite a full dining room and a 30 person wedding reception.”

“Beautiful place. Rain, snow or shine. Simply beautiful. We saw reviews that line to the Gondola were long. But when we got there on a gloomy Friday 9/29/23. It wasn't long at all. Actually there was no line. My brother and sister and I had the most amazing time. The view is spectacular. The colors were mesmerizing. It looks like a painting. Picasso!!!! Love love love our experience there. Would love to go back and this time stay the night since we did a day trip from Minneapolis.”

“The Strand is a spectacular dining experience! My husband and I enjoyed eating here on our honeymoon in 2020, and coming back in 2023 for my birthday did not disappoint. “We had a wonderful night. I can’t tell what was more delightful, the cheese fondue or our server Rob. Rob was incredibly informative and explained not only the different kinds of fondue available but was knowledgeable about the wine list also. He stopped by many times to check on us and make sure the cheese was cooking like it should. We never thought that pickles or apples would go with cheese but we were very wrong, it was delightful. And that sausage was incredible! It was really the highlight of the meal. The bread was originally a little hard for my liking but we just let it sit in the fondue for a couple minutes and softened it to our liking. If you’re very hungry make sure to order more than one course. Overall the experience was perfect, it was such a fun way to eat a meal! We would recommend this to anyone!”

“My wife and I stayed here for our Wedding Anniversary and loved it. Room was right on the water. Looking out the window you had an amazing view of lake Superior. Room was clean and very well stocked. Easy to cast to the TV. Staff is very friendly and the food was amazing. Loved the sauna and Massage!”

“Great place to stop on the North Shore. We ordered the Reuben sandwich which was absolutely delicious and perfect. We also ordered the chips and salsa which was supposed to come with sour cream… maybe they were out. My trail salad also missing some ingredients listed on the menu and the lettuce itself a little brown but most of it delicious. This is a deli style eatery where you order your food at the counter and then it comes out to you. No real opportunity for corrections, but all in all I would recommend stopping here.”

“I'll start off saying the service was fine. Everything else from there was mediocre at best. The best thing was the barbecue chicken mac and cheese which was on the kids menu. Went there with the family and I ordered the risotto which was extremely bland boring and a scallops lacked any sear, it was most likely frozen and microwaved or something because they were rubbery. The chicken sandwich was bland and boring as well even though the description was quite tantalizing. The buttered rum was fairly decent, the old fashioned and the blueberry gimlet came with what I would assume was ice from an ice maker and using tap water. Which is never going to produce the best drink. Overall a $37 risotto that had almost no flavor and frozen scallops I was not impressed whatsoever. It is Lutsen So I suppose I didn't expect culinary excellence but if you're going to put the stuff on the menu learn how to make it.”
