Volstead House -- Whiskey Bar and Speakeasy Eagan

Oddly pretentious for its location. A bit on the spendy side, but the drinks are really good and so is the food. Cool atmosphere with unique options. The live musician added an enjoyable touch. Waitress was attentive and helpful.

Have come here for numerous occasions from Closeout Sales Dinners to Double Dates. The team here is incredibly knowledgeable of what they serve and love when you’re willing to try something new! Three of us did flights of different alcohols. I did wine, my boyfriend did beer and another did whisky. Food is amazing. Highly recommend their steak bites. The atmosphere is intimate and also cozy. Some nights they have live music. During the summer they open up the patio. One of my favorite places for sure.

Pro Tip: They DONT take reservations but you can put yourself on the waitlist only an hour beforehand. And then see your place in line after checking in on the Yelp app. It’s a little inconvenient not being able to reserve a table, however the place is only so big.

This place is way cool!! It is out of the way, meaning you get in through another restaurant/bar. The selection of liquor is second to none. There was someone there singing the night we were there and she was great too! Everything about it is top notch! Looking forward to going again some time.

There cocktails are really really good. The Old fashioned is a classic but definitely the best drink on the menu is their Tequila Old Fashioned. It's a class apart. It's definitely cocktail wizardry that goes into that drink. Food is good. 5 stars to their Duck Wontons. Wish the service was a bit better and they would be open a little late. They close too early for a speakeasy
