The Onion Grille

The staff was really nice, and the menu offers some interesting combinations that suit the area, but the biggest issue I have going here again are the prices for what you get. We can pay $4 more for a filet cut at Outback over a Select cut (lowest cut of steak) here, and that is disappointing. I opted for a hamburger with onion rings versus the steak my fiance chose. The patty was a pre-formed one. The onion ring batter coating was rough and after eating only a couple, I stopped because of what the rough coating was doing to the roof of my mouth. A good point with which I'd like to close - the chef knows how to cook meats properly!

Give the place a try if you'd like to see if the offerings match your palette and you aren't worried about cost.

Yummy martini and Sunfish Appetizer. The bartender was friendly and efficient. The bar and restaurant are cozy and comfortable. Definitely a great option for anything in the historic area. Also, it’s more popular with locals than other spots in the vicinity.

Great location in historic district. Nice decor. Very good food selections at reasonable prices. Chicken salad was excellent and food was delivered promptly. Waitresses were very friendly. Well worth a visit if you're in Hastings

Very clean and inviting. food was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. We went on a Saturday during the car show, wait was a bit long but worth it. Also during car show there was a limited menu.
