The Quarry Taphouse

My husband & I held our wedding celebration here and could not be happier with how the day went. Food was excellent, Emily was our amazing bartender, staff were helping throughout the entire planning. The party space above the restaurant was perfect. Would highly recommend and would hold a party here again.

I can't sit at a high top table for physical reasons. They were nice though to open another section so I could sit at a regular table. The food was really good! I would recommend the cheese curds! Nicely battered. Server was good. Stopped back a good number of times to check on us and brought a carafe of soda so we didn't have to wait for refills. The atmosphere was cozy. They had TV's on, but no sound, so it wasn't too loud in the place. Restrooms were clean and well stocked.

Fun place. Prices seem high until you get your food and realize that the portions are huge! I got the Quarry Burger and loved it. My Dad got the Nashville Hot and finished the whole thing, he was very happy with it, and Mom got the mushroom swiss burger and really liked it as well. My son really enjoyed the games just a little upstairs. We will definitely be back!

The burgers and chicken sandwiches were very good and appropriately sized for a meal (unless you like to overeat). Prices were maybe $1-2 more than I’d expect for what you get but no major complaint.

The staff seemed somewhat aloof and uninviting, like they need some training on how to be friendly/outgoing/relatable.

Disappointed that you have to pay for everything in the play area, as I expected this to be included with the experience of eating there. Few people just carry quarters around, and finding a server to get you some rocks was inconvenient. However the positive side to this is that the area doesn’t stay as crowded.

The restaurant exceeded my expectations with their exceptional service and super tasty food. Every dish was perfect, and the ambiance was cozy yet elegant. Highly recommend this hidden gem! All positive.

Please consider meat raffles right after the one at the legion ends to carry momentum. Some night life entertainment like bargo or live music venue upstairs for future consideration. People in Hastings can be fickle and complain about prices, that's the bar crowd. Offer peanuts and happy hour / minimal menu at a cheaper price than other bars for late night/low staff times with extra foot traffic. Can't wait for river town days.
