The Copperfield

We were excited to have a new restaurant in the neighborhood, so we decided to take our first visit to the Copperfield. The restaurant is beautiful. Lots of natural light. The openness of the layout makes it a little bit noisy, but it wasn't unusually loud. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. The prices of the food seemed reasonable. The food was only so-so, however. I think we will go again, just to try different items to see if there's something else on the menu that we really like.

I went for the first time today; I had the All American Breakfast bowl (with the optional sausage gravy)...it was very very good! Great atmosphere and my server, the bartender, was awesome!! She kept my glass full and checked on me numerous times. Definitely will be going back to try lunch, dinner, and the to go items (bakery and a few deli items)! A very comfortable and cool space to hang with friends, family, or co-workers. Nice work Copperfield!!!

The Copperfield is definitely going to be over a four star place, just not quite yet. They have a super fun and modern atmosphere, and super friendly service (definitely new). I tried the chicken sandwich, and my wife had the steak. Both dishes were pretty good and very reasonably priced. Great drink options, too. Excited to try some of the other dishes next time. This area needed a fun new restaurant + bar.

Mendota Heights has been patiently waiting for a restaurant like this. The Copperfield has a great atmosphere and a beautiful patio. Their food is amazing and their drinks are fantastic! It's now my go to for breakfast/brunch and happy hour/appetizers. Well done Copperfield team!

It’s a nice restaurant in a great location. The staff need time to get up to speed. The coffee situation is not good. You can wait 15 to 20 minutes for your 1st cup and believe me it is NOT worth the wait. I highly recommend that they CHANGE THEIR COFFEE supplier. Good coffee can make or break a new restaurant. The current coffee is almost undrinkable. My wife and I dine out frequently for breakfast (which is good here) but ruined by the coffee.
