Branding Iron Restaurant

It has really improved. Our steaks were done perfectly. Very wait staff. Homemade pie. Really a great finish to a day on the root river trail

I gave it four stars as the food was very good. I had a steak and augratin potatoes and salad. They run a soup and salad bar with the main course or a stand alone item. The soup is hot and tasty. The lettuce was fresh, crisp and delicious. I took one star off as when this restaurant first opened it was more upscale with table linens etc. That was when people dressed for dinner. Unfortunately raggedy pants, baseball caps and sweats seem to be the norm. Too bad people dress like its a truck stop. It is a pretty building and sits on the side of a hill.

It was a bit higher priced than what we were used to, but the food and service was excellent. When we went, it was just a couple months before it closed. It has since reopened, under new ownership and management. Best of luck, y'all!

Atmosphere was "local". We had a limited menu. Salad bar was ok. Steak was done perfect. Backed potato was very good. Broccoli was missed freshness.

First time back after the ownership change. We enjoyed grilled pork chops and fried cod. Same good food and service. The best part? The return of French silk and coconut cream pies!
