We grabbed coffee and donuts this morning from Hanisch Bakery and we will definitely be back again. They have a huge assortment of gourmet donuts and cookies. Plus they have a full coffee bar too. We got both coffee and donuts and they both tasted great! Great job Hanisch Bakery crew.
Normally this place is great, and well worth the hour drive to get there. However, yesterday before closing, my husband and I were sold two severely undercooked slimy brownies we couldn't even pick up out of the bag, and two plain donuts the teenager behind the counter told me were pumpkin. It's probably the last time I can go there before I move out of state, and I couldn't be more disappointed.
Popular bakery in a pretty, downtown location. They had an expansive selection of cookies, pastries, cakes, sweet breads, and more. We got a date bar, cookie, and a donut (we HAD to sample a few things) and all were enjoyed heartily. We got mostly classic flavors that were done well, all at a fair price.
I love this place! The quality and variety of their baked goods surpasses all! It never disappoints! Homemade pies were great on a Summer day. Their little cafe is the perfect stop for a sandwich or little salad. Love it!
Wide selection of Fresh Bakery items and cakes oh, they also have a little sandwich shop in the back but for $9 I would expect much more creative sandwiches than the standard fare the board had to offer. I settled for a bagel with cream cheese. They handed me the bagel and sent me to the other counter for cream cheese do-it-yourself kit packets. Bagel was a little hard but still better than any store-bought, it was closing time and I'm sure it had been there all day I would imagine they're quite a bit better in the morning
