Stockholm Pie and General Store

Stopped here Saturday on a fall leave drive, cute & quaint old fashioned store. Although pie prices are a bit steep, it is well worth the money! Homemade made from scratch and you can definitely tell! We enjoyed a slice of pumpkin pie and the generous scoop of homemade whipped cream was so good! We also bought 2 pie cookies(a f.r.o.g & nutella) to go and they were so yummy! My husband raved about the nutella & even commented we may have to make the drive again all the way from Hastings MN for more pie & pie cookies!

We stopped in to buy a pie yesterday while taking a leaf viewing drive around the Mississippi River and Lake Pepin area. The pies looked decent, but at $28 i had to pass. I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much money for a pie. I bought some cheese curds and horseradish instead. The guy ringing up my purchase presented me the cash register screen after he punched in my two items and it was asking me to enter in a tip. Moral of story - if you go here, be prepared to bring stacks of cash along for the ride.

They are located in a beautiful spot and are a happy group of people who seem to love what they do. Their pies were phenomenal, especially the pecan ones. Their coffee was just okay. Would definitely visit again.

This is a must stop. I did not want to leave... the general store that is attached, was filled with wonderful, unique items. The home made lunch we had! Stellar
