Good hearty breakfast with locally sourced ingredients. My æbleskivers were delicious and maybe a touch too sweet. Potato crusted quiche is a tasty way to have hashbrowns and eggs. Everything was salted well, and the coffee was mild and flavorful without acidity.
The restaurant is in a hotel and offered a buffet option for breakfast. Everyone is seated in the same area, so it can be distracting to see people coming and going. I wish they'd play up the Scandinavian inspiration more, especially given their location in the Midwest United States.
Don't miss this hidden gem of a restaurant for breakfast!
Great food, solid service! The pot pie and appetizers were really good.
Ruthie was our Server and she was incredibly knowledgeable and nice! The food was absolutely delicious! The cranberry reduction was well done, thr dark meat turkey was pleasantly spiced, the pumpkin pie was delightful! Well prepared and thought out menu. Well worth the price. The gal at the front desk went out of her way to ask if we wanted our pictures taken! 5 star service!
We like a lot hanging out. Yesterday we found this delicious place which we didn’t know before. We spent a delightful experience there with great food and a well-trained team and a professional cook. We added this restaurant in our list and we will certainly come back soon. We highly recommend.
Stopped in here for a late breakfast with my parents over a long layover in MSP.
It was very quiet around 10:30 am. We sat in a lightly lit dining room that was furnished with very modern styles. There was definitely a Scandinavian vibe to the restaurant which was reflected in their menu items which included things like ebelskivers (Dutch pancakes.)
I ordered the smoked salmon on rye with poached egg and avocado. It was beautifully plated, the rye offering a dark counterpoint to the salty salmon. Avocado was creamy and the tomato fresh. The only problem was that the egg was a little overcooked and wasn't as runny as I would have hoped.
Service was friendly and attentive. Quick refills on coffee and water. Nice place.
