MontegoBlu - Tropical American Kitchen

Amazing food. Sadly this fabulous restaurant faces the challenge of nearby construction that my be offsetting to then weak at heart. We found the food to be unique, delicious and making you want more. Friendly, team to provide that sought after dining experience. The flavor and atmosphere of the Caribbean right in Excelsior MN.

Good place. Only been open for a year. Food was good. Changed themes last May. Manager (Ben) was great, came around and checked on everything. Told us that if you didn't like something, let them know and they can swap it out. Staff was working hard for our large group. Fun place. TVs show menu items, do was good to see. Worth trying again. Jerk, char-broiled wings are worth trying.

The chicken jerk bowl is enough for two with the coco bread. Ben, the owner is also personable and a good host. The place is clean and prestine with great bartenders and servers.

We hired MontegoBlu for catering a party for 50 people. Ken and Ben were wonderful to work with: provided good suggestions, support and service throughout the selection process and implementation. The food was fresh, delicious and appropriate quantities. Our guests raved about the bbq pulled pork
and jerk chicken. Also enjoyed plantains, Hawaiian pizza and Caribbean slaw. I highly recommend this restaurant for high quality, flavor and service.

Have been here twice since they’ve opened. Was able to get seated immediately each time. Incredible service and food was flavorful. I had the shrimp curry the first time (amazing!!) and the goat curry (subbed pasta for caulirice - spicy and yummy) - both were recommendations from the server we had the first time I stopped.

The menu had a nice variety of classic American food and some more unique items. Love having this restaurant in Excelsior! Will def be back!
