Probably the best BBQ in Minneapolis! The food is always on point and delicious! The ribs and whatever taco they have are always amazing. If the beef cheeks are ever on the menu get them!
Super yummy! Concise menu that had nothing but hits! Definitely worth seeking it out!
Was not expecting a food truck when I pulled up, but it being next to a brewery and ice cream shop make the set up perfect....vibe was great, and there was nice outdoor seating so if you go on a nice day it’s a good time!
We got the sampler and tried the beef rib special and it Definitely was one of the “better” tasting BBQ places I’ve been to in MN there are not many...nice flavors and the portion size of what we ordered was on point!
Just know prices are on the higher side and the menu changes based on week I guess? I wanted to try the “beef cheek” but they didn’t have it...bummer!
The one SMALL side that our food came with was a miss but the meat made up for it I guess...
Still a good spot to try...nice for a date as well!
I'm not much of a meat eater, especially meat on bones, but this was AMAZING!! I ordered the chicken birria bowl. I wasn't sure how the textures of grits and meat would be but it blew my mind away! Great flavors, savory style, and not too spicy. They serve their food pretty fast, considering a lot of food trucks have lines with wait times. Pair your food with a beer from Able and it's a perfect meal!! I did take a bite of the rib meat - it was melt in your mouth with great seasoning!
I've tried to go to Animales a few times but their hours are a little odd and they were closed for a weekend once (make sure you look at their hours online). The pics I see on Instagram are crazy so I'm glad I finally got to stop in. I got a Meat Tornado, which is pretty much what it sounds like. The tornado was delicious and it let me sample a bunch of different meats all in one sandwich. I'd recommend stopping by if you're in the area. If it helps you decide to go it's also connected to a brewery so you won't be thirsty.
