First time trying Trinidadian cuisine. As soon as I took a bite of the doubles I could taste the spices dancing on my tongue. The roti was so soft and paired perfectly with the savory pumpkin. The pholourie has a perfect consistency and came with some amazing mango chutney. Highly recommended to anyone looking to try something unique.
My wife and I had the pleasure of trying the corn soup and doubles at The Black Market. We are new to not eating meat so we are always looking for new things to try. Both items were absolutely delicious! I had one bite of the double before my wife ate it all. The soup has amazing flavor and dumplings. We went back and reordered more of each and can't wait to try other menu items. And the service was amazing! Businesses can thrive just by having great and personal customer service! My wife couldn't stop talking about the food and service and being in the food business ourselves, we believe it's so important. Thank you Channa Kitchen, can't wait to try more.
Amazing food! It was my first time trying Trini food, and it was just was I expected. Amazing flavor, and loving people. Anisa was so amazing when picking up. She is such a sweet soul & shows initial passion for what she does. Will definitely order again!!
Fantastic Trinidadian meal from Channa Kitchen! Awesome to have this unique cuisine locally. All the dishes had great flavor. Good portion size and everything was packaged up nicely. We had curry chicken, stew chicken, lo mein with shrimp, and Pholourie. Roti was nice and flaky and pepper sauce was 🔥.
Can’t wait to go back again and definitely adding some doubles to the next order.
Just wish they had chicken curry on the menu IYKYK 🤣
My gyal was in town and we were craving for doubles. We decided to stop by here to try their version. The place is actually a little brick house for takeout. Anisa answered the door, introduced herself, and offered to bring it out once it was finished. The doubles were packed as singles in its own container with a red hot pepper sauce cup. It was very flavourful with fresh chopped green veggies. A nice little snack to have before we went to a meditation class. Will have to come back another time to try other things on the menu!
