Inconsistent experiences here. A lot of the food is a little meh. Great if you just want to enjoy some chips and margaritas. Specials tend to be very good. 5 stars for weekend brunch. The staff is terrific, super welcoming and helpful. Interesting decor inside.

Update: Tacos are less flavorful than you'd get at a good taqueria. Enchiladas were heavy without enough flavor to be satisfying. And there's a lot of really terrific Mexican food to be had in this town. That said, this is a neighborhood place and we'll keep coming back.

Great priced happy hour with a tasty selection of drinks/food. We enjoyed the queso curds, tacos and of course their margaritas. My wife loved the Too Hot To Handle Marg and liked the mescal. Highly recommend and we'll be back. Our server was very pleasant!!!

I stop in here pretty regularly on my breaks and have yet to find anything I don't love here! The staff are all so nice and are happy to make special accommodations (I usually request extra heat) and they get me my food quick enough that I can eat and make it back to work in under 30 minutes. If I could give more stars I would!

I loved my dinning experience at El Jefe Cocina & Bar. The waitstaff was friendly, professional and attentive to our dining needs. The environment was neat, clean and quite romantic. The food items we order was fresh, hot and delicious when served. Be prepared to be delighted and spend a bit more for food and drink items. The only thing that I would recommend for this estblishment is to add a addition happy hour pricing that offers scaled back pricing for those that value fine dining but maybe on a budget.
