This little bistro brunch spot charges $6.00 for a "Seasonal Fruit Cup" that ended up being 4 little apple slices and 2 bits of orange! You've cat to be kitten me! 🙀 I understand that inflation is a thing, but that's just a rip-off, no matter how you (thinly) slice it.
The atmosphere and coffee were lovely (that's why they got three stars) but the food was not. Besides the meager fruit portion, the potatoes were over-salted and I don't know what was up with the eggs. My companion got the breakfast sandwich but only tried the salad that came along with it because it had a weird flavor. 🤷🏼♀️ Super disappointing.
Wonderful clean & cozy atmosphere. I had a wonderful cup of vanilla latte and a German coffee cake. Another friend ordered a glass of wine and the grazing board which was savory and delicious - I tried some too! I will be sure to return and enjoy more food! Another patron was alone working on his laptop enjoying wine and a small charcuterie board of his own. Classy vibes, yet very chill and come as you are. There is a quick to-go market inside as well. I recommend stopping in!
Literally my new fave place. They offer great options including charcuterie. Vegetarian and vegan charcuterie! Mac and cheese is amazing as well as the rotating desserts! We will be going back a lot. Staff was super helpful and excited for us to try dishes. The market was very cute and had great stuff.
I’ll lead with the good: the food! I’ve had breakfast and dinner here. Both meals were good. Great toast. Good salads. Pastas we’re tasty.
Service is a bit aloof. There’s no charm or attention to detail in it though. It felt perfunctory, as though no one was happy to be there. No one was mean, just vacant.
Atmosphere: it’s beautiful in here. No detail left unconsidered. Seats are great.
Fans are a cool touch. Everything is great. But it’s dead. Sterile. Feels like a Pinterest Board restaurant come to life.
The word cool appears all over the place, menus, walls, website, cups. And it’s literal. It’s trying to be cool, but cool isn’t something you can define yourself as. Cool happens organically. It’s trying to hard. Do less. Say less. Be less.
So excited to have Kruse Markit in the neighborhood. Love the atmosphere! I really enjoyed the plant power latte and the avocado toast but make it a bowl. I was quite impressed with the market selection, which includes staples such as eggs and milk, as well as lots of fun speciality items from local companies. I can’t wait to dine in again! I also appreciated that the bathrooms are gender neutral.
