This is a local phenomenon. Looks like an old place, nothing special. It was famous enough to have Barack Obama stop by once. Famous for the Juicy Lucy, a delicious hamburger stuffed with cheese, which is served in a paper wrapper. No plates or flatware were presented. No reservations, so the line was out the door. Not sure I'd wait in line for it, but it was definitely different.

I was visiting a friend in Minneapolis, I flew out there to see a couple of Twins games and some sightseeing. He made sure to bring me here to try a Juicy Lucy. It was so good!! Their menu is simple and the place was popping on a weekday afternoon. The location is very small but I loved that small town corner bar feel. It was so good I had to eat there again before I flew back to California.

Juicy Lucy lives up to its reputation. However, I took one bite and the molten cheese shot out of the burger onto my clothes which took about 3 washings to get out. So that sucked, but I mean it was still definitely worth it. Dive bar feel and prices with some of the best food in town. What it lacks in upscale seating and servers, it makes up in Culture and making you feel at home. That's what it's all about right?

The Juicy Lucy was too good, forgot to take a picture before I ate it. It was delicious! It’s a small hole in the wall type bar with a really great burger and decent fries. If you have some time and you’re in the neighborhood I would stop by and grab a spot at the bar and grab a Lucy or two. This place is popular for their Juicy Lucy so there is potential for a wait. But the burger is worth the wait.
