Cozy bar, one of my favorite winter spots. They are in the middle of renovating the building and I am so excited for the changes!! The new women's restroom is going to be a great addition! Nanny's cure all is one of my favorite winter time drinks. Love the fish and chips, sausage rolls, and the ploughmans plate.

Love this place! Live music and a cozy atmosphere make this an ideal date spot. We wanted to try the entire menu! They also have some big booths for larger groups!

I admire this place! They offer excellent dishes, they have a nice menu, The chef in that spot is well trained, I love a lot tasting all their food. The food is consistently tasty, the attitude towards the clients is efficient. I often eat in this place and I was never unhappy. I recommend it to all my friends.

They take the food and whiskey ???? of the UK very seriously. Joe and Shelbi are well versed in the menus as well as being very hospitable. The quantity and quality of the Merlin Stew and the Steak with Yorkshire pudding was excellent. The whiskey tasting sized pours makes it more economical to try a few different offerings.

I've been to pubs. Merlin's is a proper pub. Big bowl of Mussels in wine and garlic with proper chips. Proper dry cider pint. Live Celtic folk music in the big room with some kind of dulcimer. Me at the bar measuring my need for travel with my need for culture... There are a hundred or something whiskeys lining the mirrored wall behind the bar, they call spirits spirits for a good reason; there's peaty and then there's peaty. Last time there was a hymn sing or a hootenanny or improvised jazz. Maybe the staff shushing you during trivia. Fish and chips get soggy like newspapers and company, the pasties are authentic. Get the curry gravy. Pimm's pitcher.
