Saigon Uptown Restaurant

Literally the best Vietnamese restaurant in uptown. Hands down. Great, unbelievable prices for the quality. Always hot, always fresh, always consistent. The wings are my favorite, the spice blend to sweet and crunchy and savor is outstanding. Honestly this place is one of my favorite restaurants for comfort food. When I think midwest comfort food I think this from my local Chinese or Vietnamese joint and a breezy weeknight evening. The family that runs it is super cool and friendly as well just an added bonus.

This is the real deal, order the Vietnamese food, it is excellent and really cheap. Menu hasn’t changed much for 35 years. Same prices! Spring rolls, Chicken Pho and Mock duck are to die for! (Bad timing for that expression!). I highly recommend this restaurant and don’t believe google that there are no deliveries, both Grub hub and Postmates deliver or they will bring it out to you on Lyndale Ave or their parking lot.

I’ve enjoyed my time here too many times to let another day pass without praising this place. I come here to order what I tell people is “my favorite food in the twin cities” — egg roll vermicelli noodle salad. For my fellow egg roll fanatics, look no further, this is truly the dankest egg roll in Minneapolis, possibly the world. The no-frills decor matches the usually two-member front of house staff, who are very polite but won’t come round to bother you often, so order early. Some of the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had in such an unassuming place with surprisingly mellow vibes, and with this pricing, it’s a bargain.

I recommend the spring rolls, dumpling soup, and egg rolls salad - my favorite.

This is a hidden gem! The four dishes we have tried so far have been delicious! Pretty much everything is under $10. The staff is so sweet and genuinely cares if you enjoyed your meal. Also, it's not very busy even on a Saturday! You won't regret trying this place.
