Don't pass this place up!!! I just realized I haven't reviewed Wrecktangle, yet I've been raving about it for 2 months! Fantastic pizza!!! High quality, full flavored, rich buttery deep dish crust cooked to perfection...!! We ordered The Shredder and loved it so much we decided to order an additional pizza to go. Got the Francy Pants and loved that too, even as leftovers for breakfast ???? We're typical pepperoni people but after reading reviews, knew we need not be worried about the interesting combinations...can't wait to try it again! Food hall was great atmosphere too, liked the very accessible bar in the middle and plentiful seating options.
Requested an adjustment to my pizza, which they happily made. Fun, energetic staff and one of the most delicious pizza's I've had in quite some time!
Two of my longtime friends, comrade in arms and good drinking buddies works now at Wrecktangle Pizza and had to come in pester them and say hello. One friend was cut so we both sat at the bar and drank, ate, drank and ate some more. So much I think I just had just one meal the whole day.
This pizza is just so just different from any other I've had. Soft, fluffy and light, the bread aspect doesn't fill you up or weigh you down. Coming from a sourdough starter but you don't get that flavor that comes from the sourdough. Figuring this is where the air pockets come from. Should've take a picture of the inside of the pizza. Bought the secret crouching tiger hidden menu item (a take on a Connie island dog, bizarre but fun taste adventure) and the sotalicious (tater tot hot dish as a Za). Neither were really my first picks but who knows how long the secret item would stay and the other was a safe bet for my Midwestern parents.
Great crust? Check. Great cheese & sauce? Check. Great toppings? Check. Great service? Check. Will be going back!
Re: wrecktangle Pizza: I didn’t know what “made with love meant” till I ate this pizza. I think some god herself made these ingredients and put them in my belly. I would make this pizza my girlfriend, just so I could get close to the other pizzas here. 10/5 stars.
