Vann is definitely in my top five new restaurants this year. The menu changes daily and is organized into three courses. Everything I had was unique, fresh and amazing. Some people may be hesitant to give "Nordic Japanese Fusion" a try and to those people I strongly encourage you to go out of your comfort zone and try this place. The service is also top notch, shout out to Andrew, my server, who actually grew up in the building Vann is located. I think that just shows how local this place is, from ingredients to personnel. I recommend this to any fellow foodies or anyone looking for a classy date night spot.
The dedication, detail and focus is undeniable, but Vann takes it to a higher level- it becomes more than a great meal, it becomes art. Truly fantastic!
They're now open on Tuesdays! So excited to see a restaurant like this in the area! The food is elevated without feeling fussy, the menu changes often and is full of exciting dishes. Great quality on the scallops and octopus. Service was amazing! I'm excited to have this addition to the area. Very well done!
Simply impeccable. Freshness, preparation, taste, ambiance are all spectacular. The chef is creative and wildly talented, and just the person your inner foodie wants to meet. Do yourself a favor and enjoy this western suburb jewel. Restaurants like this are few and far in between.
Foodies everywhere must come here. The menu is organized into 3 courses: first, second and third. I am not a big eater and normally would not order all three but--trust me--you need to in order to get the full experience. This is not the same old stuff you see on every menu. Each item is fresh, beautiful and bursting with flavor. The portions are sized perfectly so you feel satisfied but still able to move on to the next course. The staff know how to pace the meal so you have time between courses to enjoy the incredible lake view (afforded to every table) and process the food. The menu changes daily according to what ingredients are available that day. I am told there is not even a freezer on the premises. The restaurant has a friendly, but intimate, atmosphere. It is chef owned and operated and I guess that is why there seems to be such attention to detail. This is a place to visit often to experience the change in seasons in the food and the view. I can't wait to return.
