Went for wine and view. Well worth it, will definitely visit again.
Way better than I expected from a golf course clubhouse! We got the turkey sandwich on cranberry bread and veggie tacos - would definitely get it all again. The sauce on the veggie tacos was reaaaally good. Onion rings looked amazing so will have to try those next. Blood Mary was yummy too!
Amazing view of Sugar Lake, attentive staff and good food/drink options. The outdoor patio is a great place for young families to enjoy a Minnesota evening. Highly recommend.
Just came back from another stay at Sugar Lake Lodge. I must say the food was much better than before.
We had the Walleye sandwich twice, it was so good and the fries are now so much better. We also had Walleye Tacos and the Strawberry Spinach Salad which were delicious!
We ordered pizza and had in our suite one night, it was ok and generous size.
Otis's is a part of the Sugar Lake Lodge complex and sits right off the 18 hole golf course with a great view of the lake. Otis's is a perfect stop for an adult beverage after around of golf, a snack in the afternoon (I highly recommend the walleye wild rice cakes!) or a full meal for lunch or dinner.
Choose your seat: air conditioned inside or a wide open deck. Depending on the time of day, it can get crowded. We had 23 in our party but the staff was very accommodating in getting us all seated. Service was fast and friendly and I didn't hear anyone complianing about the food. But let's be honest: if it takes a while to get your order, go with it. This is a resort. You are suppose to be chillin'. Enjoy the view; enjoy the company. Watch kids chase and attempt to catch the geese.
Pricewise: nothing extraordinary. Prices for appetizers, meals and drinks seem on par with similar locales.
BTW: You don't have to be staying at the resort to enjoy an afternoon or evening at Otis's. Enjoy the drive getting there. Great scenery!
