“We had just got done doing a recovery of a semi on it’s side, fully loaded with many boxes of pork. We had about 15 people we wanted to feed and decided to hit the Pizza Ranch in Slayton. “This is no greasy spoon, could compete with any city restaurant. Prime rib melted in my mouth, I also recommend the garlic mashed potatoes. Even the picky eaters had fried chicken and said it was fantastic. We also had the brisket which was great, though the sauce is sweeter than we prefer so next time we’ll ask for the sauce on the side. Beer and wine list features local/regional items, plus the hits you’ll find anywhere. Reservations recommended, especially during covid.”
