John Hardy's BBQ

Great meal tonight in a newly remodeled jhbbq. We had pork and Turkey tonight with baked beans. I love the spicy hot sauce!!

The food was great all the way to the garlic bread it wasn't the least bit toasted. I talked with the work staff and I'll order it toasted next time. Price was fair service was quick and the waiter was friendly.

John Hardy’s recently catered my wedding, and they did a excellent job! They were very helpful from the first moment we walked in. The food was excellent and we received many compliments from our guest. If you are looking for a caterer for any event John Hardy’s will do an awesome job!

Another stop on our nostalgia visit to Rochester. John Hardy was a friend of mine when I lived in Rochester after getting out of the Navy in the early to late 1970's. I assisted him by locating sources of cherrywood that helped impart the magical taste on his delicious barbecued meats when he was first getting started. I was so happy to discover now that the meats were just as sumptuous as I recalled. Delicious! A pleasant surprise however was that the portion sizes were far more generous than I remembered from nearly 50 years ago. A fun fact not too many people know - despite John's wizardry with barbecuing delicious meats, he was a professed vegetarian! I am very pleased that the current owners and operators have continued John's legacy at providing very delicious barbecue options at an affordable price. With enough left over for another meal warmed up at home. Our waiter was excellent by the way. We don't get to Rochester very often, but when we do, we will be sure to stop in again. You should too!

Great food. Quick service. Perfect place to get drinks and dinner with friends. Family friendly. Come hungry. We got rib meal, 1/2 chicken meal, wings, loved their coleslaw, potato salad was good but I'll probably get more coleslaw instead next time ;) meals come with 2 sides. Reasonably priced.
