My husband and I just went to the new location at the Eastwood golf course, and Townies did not disappoint! We both got steak Phillies and the owner mentioned how they buy locally sourced meat, the flavors were on point and the atmosphere was very inviting. Friendly staff! Will definitely be back again to try their famous burgers
Great place for lunch, dinner, or just to hang out! The food is top notch, they have awesome deals and specials all day, and I've never left feeling hungry.
My second visit to TOWNIES GRILL’D SUBS proved what I had already thought to be an instant no-brainer “go to” for my sub cravings and smash’d burgers… You can’t go wrong, they’re friendly, outgoing staff will see that you leave “full and happy”…Prices are reasonable, portions are adequate, and with plenty of convenient parking, online ordering, and fast pickup inside or use they’re curbside service and never even get out of your car! (This will undoubtedly prove useful in our cold winter months) Townies has a full bar as well, with plenty of ice cold beer choices available and they’re open year round..Just writing this review has got me craving one of they’re subs, I’ll have to go back SOON!!
I’ve yet to run into the owner Cody, but when I do I’ll tell him I’m happy to have TOWNIES in Rochester, a GREAT alternative to the “overpriced” Jersey Jo’s…
Was up visiting my dad today at the Mayo Clinic and was looking for a place to eat off the beaten path. Found this on Google and read the reviews (good and bad) and decided to give it a shot.
I like trying new places and try to stay away from the chain restaurants due to the poor quality of food and excessive amount of grease.
My dad and I both got the Philadelphian and I also ordered some Load'd Hog Fries because well, they sounded good.
Food was prompt and hot even with a packed house at lunch time.
All I can say is awesome!! I started with the fries and could barley stop myself from finishing them to try the sandwich. The sandwich was a perfect blend of cheese, meat, onion and bread ratio. Had to take half of the sandwich home.
The food was worth the price and I plane on getting more sandwiches next week to take back to iowa to share with the family.
As far as the 1 star reviews on Google. I think most of you would be happier with McDonalds dollar menu, because obviously you dont understand what good food should taste and look like.
Only thing I would suggest is to give more information on your website about the history of the place to give it a more personal feel. Unless this is a chain restaurant, then fool on me because I still am going back regardless.
Have always had good food! Thought it was a bit spendy at first but they now have a smaller sandwich option that makes it a lot more feasible. Ordered a CBR for pickup and had some modifications - nothing was wrong! Also for anyone who loved Tinns, this is similar with the crispier bread and chipotle mayo (a must). This is a pretty tough location to keep busy during the colder weather, but they do a good job advertising & there was even a coupon on Facebook so keep your eye out!
