I've enjoyed coming here often in the afternoons during nice summer days. Tonight, though, Google Maps asked me about this experience after getting home -- so what I'll say is this: it's likely the first & last time I'll choose this location for evening.
The same barista who had served my drink when I first came, had a very different tone once 8:23 PM came around, and there was still two of us in the lounge area. I was completing a paragraph that I needed to finish & save before leaving the WiFi, but the barista mentioned "just so you know our store actually closes at 8:30 so you'll need to leave". A few minutes later (maybe 8:27 at this point) the other guy there began walking out and as I was getting my things together to do the same, again I hear, "mam our store is closing and it's now officially 8:30". I got up and began to apologize and also explain that "I have 8:29 on my phone and I didn't realize they'd been wait-" but was cut off to hear her say over me "yeah, well, actually OUR clock says 8:30, soooo...." (which was accompanied by arms crossed and what felt like a death glare willing me to walk away).
Needless to say, I was not able to save my work, and will not be returning during that shift.
Oh and of course, even after cutting me off, she still found it appropriate to give one of those high-pitched, very-forced-sounding "byeee, have a good night" bits. She also eyed me down as I was walking to my car, and as I turned I noticed her and the other employee exchanging a look that was likely not for a seperate issue. I don't think I've ever gotten off at the exact end time of a shift, so I don't know - maybe there's a strict rule about getting everybody out prior to actual store close time, but I've never stayed long enough to notice.
It is nice and quiet which was awesome especially if you are looking to study. My drink was sweeter than I imagined, but still tasty
