I frequent this place as I enjoy the special atmosphere and the top notch services. The staff is extra efficient and attentive. Fair prices too. Super!

I have visited the Handsome Hog on several occasions, and each time I have been more and more impressed with the restaurant.

Right from the start, I have always been greeted and seated quickly by very polite and kind staff member; the attitude feels as if I am being welcomed by a friend in the South to their home. This service always continues to the last goodbye, and I appreciate that more than can be expressed here.

The food is top notch, from the menu (which is direct and reflects a restaurant that knows what it's strengths are and does them well, while at the same time always presenting a conundrum in that it all looks SO GOOD.) I always find what I need though... ????

Once the food has arrived, the experience goes South... In the best way possible. Each bite is filled with flavor and texture and on my goodness I am hungry now thinking about it. I am not paid for this or getting anything in return, I swear, it is just THAT good.

If you are in or will be in Lowertown and would like to enjoy a delicious meal in a cozy, homey setting, this is the place. Go. Now. ????

Great food, nice atmosphere. I had the Brisket Hash and it was absolutely amazing: very flavorful and tasty. I also had the Bourbon Bloody (Sunday Brunch) which came with a rib on the rim (!) and a Surly beer on the side, and it was awesome! Totally recommended, will definitely be back!

Spencer was the best!! Imagine a drink? He made it. They have 25+ bitters to play with. He'll find your pref faster than you.

Handsome Hog is an awesome place to eat. I was impressed with the space, service and of course the food. I had the brisket sandwich, mac & cheese and chicken fried pork loin. Both were delicious. I'd definitely recommend stopping in if you're in the area.
