I've ordered the Massamun Curry twice and I liked it both times. The spice levels listed on the menu are wildly inconsistent though.
On visit #1, I ordered an 8/10 spice level and received a curry that was on the sweeter side.
On visit #2, I ordered at an 10/10 but just asked for the curry to be generally less sweet. I was shooting for somewhere around an 8/10 without the overbearing sweetness. I got an extremely spicy dish with raw chilies and chili paste added in. It was almost unbearably spicy, took me a while to finish. The other person I was with ordered a spicy dish too but theirs was sweet and mild.
I'd definitely come back because the food prices are very reasonable and the food itself is great. I think it'll take a little experimentation to sort out what I need to ask for. Solid authentic feeling Thai food.
On's is probably the best Thai food in the Twin Cities now. All the food I sampled was great but what impressed me is the variety of dishes. It isn't just a few dishes on the menu, it's over 100. Normally when restaurants do this it's not a good idea but from what I had I can tell each dish is vastly different. If you're looking for something new try On's, it's affordable and quick.
If you're looking for a place with great ???? food at a reasonable price ???????? with fast and easy service, this is the spot! I liked each entree along with my Thai bubble tea! It had the perfect amount of sweetness. I am rating it a 4 due to parking and the bamboo salad ????. Parking can get difficult because the big lot is shared with other businesses so you'll have to circle around for a bit until you can find parking and the lot right behind the building is just so small, you'll never find a spot there. The bamboo salad wasn't bad but it also wasn't my favorite. Overall, I do recommend this place but do try to go earlier during the day. It can get super busy during the evening. I would like to go back and try their other entrees.
I went to On's Kitchen for an Asian project I have to do for class and this is a great place to eat at. My favorite is the red curry and the Thai tea with milk. I didn't ask for enough spice for my red curry, so it tasted sweet with a little bit of spice but I'll definitely ask for more spice next time. The Thai tea is also super sweet. If you love Asian food but can't handle a-lot of spice then this is a great place to dine into.
Wow! This is now in my top Thai places in the Twin Cities. The chicken satay came out fast, hot and tender, flavorful sauces. A tangy peanut sauce and cucumber salad. So tasty! The green curry was generous, in a flavorful broth. So fresh it was almost too hot to eat! Not to salty or too spicy, fresh green flavor. I got extra cucumber salad to go with it, it was a great compliment. I look forward to coming here again. Fast and attentive servers with positive attitudes. The sad thing is it is closed Sunday and Monday.
